Pages was written a couple of years ago, inspired by the story of an Istanbul bookshop called Pages. The Arabic bookshop became a cultural sanctuary for the many young Syrian refugees who had fled home and found themselves isolated in the city. Pages allowed them to be transported home through art and song, even if just for a moment..

I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve sang this at acoustic sessions and I’m v happy to finally have a proper live recording of it to share with the world.

I was joined for this performance by my great friend, the supremely talented mr Chris Wong on backing vocals. It felt fitting to record the song by the bookshelves in our own sanctuary by the sea during lockdown.
